WHAT IS THE MYSTERY ARTEFACT THAT KYLE IS HOLDING IN THE PICTURE BELOW?
Answer: The artefact that Kyle is holding is a fragment of an iron kettle that was found in the destruction level of the cellar operation.
No winner this time but special thanks to Margaret Lynch Collins of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, and Margaret Collins of Moncton, New Brunswick for their excellent guesses!

Make your guesses in the comments below. Please include your name and geographic location in your post, so that we can post your name and city, if you guess correctly.
Good luck, armchair archaeologists!
I have two guesses:
1. a tool to use when darning socks. It holds the darning area in place while you darn. (I have one which belonged to my grandmother in the 1800′s !)
2. a pestle
