Alright archaeology enthusiasts, it’s time for a new Mystery Artefact of the Week! Take a look at this artefact and leave your best guess as to what it is in the comments below. Good luck guys!

ANSWER: The artefact below is the bottom of an English wine bottle, which was excavated from the cellar operation at the Grand-Pré National Historic Site this year. Congratulations to Jennifer Ferguson, who was very close!

  1. The bottom of a liquor bottle with a bunt in it for something like whiskey or scotch.

  2. I saw the exact artefact at the NB Museum in Saint John yesterday…It was part of a display of artefacts from a shipwreck. Very interesting!
