WHAT IS THE MYSTERY ARTEFACT SEEN IN THE PICTURE BELOW?
ANSWER: This artefact is a bottle stopper. As mentioned in the hint, the artefact is upside down, and would be stuck in the top of a bottle. No correct guesses this week, but kudos to Frank and Linda for their creative guesses.

?????? ???????
HINT: It’s upside down!
Make your guesses in the comments below. Please include your name and geographic location in your post, so that we can post your name and city, if you guess correctly.
Good luck, armchair archaeologists!
It’s a sheep heightener! You put one of these under each hoof and, voila, you got yourself one tall sheep. …and everyone knows that in the 18th century, the taller your sheep, the better your chances at snagging a lass. The yearly tallsheep festival brought in tourist from far and away, but I’m sure that you already knew that (being archaeologists and all)
